After the defeat and after being chased in Mirkwood, we see our hero alone, sitting by the side of a large lake. He has lost his way, while running on the murky trails between the trees, and he does not know if he is going to meet his comrades again.
Then he starts to sing a song. He calls the sun to rise and show him the way out of this forsaken forest, where he can meet his party again. The song ends and he almost feels the painful silence. Even the night birds are asleep and do not sing. Only the full moon shines above the lake like a pale distant torch.
And then, somewhere behind, he hears the familiar sound of armor clanking again! He can hear them as they creep slowly towards him, as they still keep searching. He jumps to his feet and runs to hide under a huge hollow osier. He gets in just in time, as he hears soldiers passing by, right next to the tree, just one foot away.
Their voices almost fade down the way, when all of a sudden, he hears loud shouting and jangling of armor. It seems that the legionnaires have completely forgotten the discipline, it is a complete chaos. But who are they fighting with? Did they encounter a forest beast? Or maybe they entered the territory of a witch?
Our hero steps out of the hollow tree to see what is happening… and… he cannot believe his eyes! His comrades are outside, all of them, and they are fighting the enemy. He wastes no more time and joins the battle to chase away the greedy military machine out of this land, once and for all.
Legionnaires are finally defeated and finally, peace reigns.
The tune was created in eight days at the end of July and the beginning of August 2008.
