It was the evening of 21 September 2008 and I was learning to play the exercises from a guitar guide book. I was practising an exercise in the key of G7 when I got intrigued in the way the scale sounded, so I improvised a bit. And while my fingers were dancing to “E-D-G”, I already knew that on the next day I was going to write a new blues song.
I had already invented a guitar solo in April, that I didn’t know what to do with, but now, its time had come, as it matched the rhythm perfectly. So, in one week, the music was ready.
Since in 2008 I had broken the strings several times, the title came naturally and it wasn’t so difficult to come up with the lyrics, too. Three months later, right before Christmas, I recorded the vocal part and completed the song.
