Writing the song
I wrote act one of this music (the country part) a long time before completing the entire piece. This was the winter of 2006. And even though the lyrics were very different, I kept the music unchanged. In 2011, I invented the ending riff, played by two guitars (the slow, but intense part at the end), so I began composing at the end of October. When it was time to write the chasing scene, that connects the two acts, I was out of musical inspiration, and for a long time I did not know how to do it, because their tempo, key and atmosphere differ significantly.
Despite the difficulties, in April 2012, I managed to finish it, and by the end of June, to record it. The lyrics were born equally difficult. I spent seven months in attempts to write them. And when I was finally done, in May 2013, during a five day singing marathon, I recorded the vocal parts, together with the ones for “Hunting Time Has Come Again”.
